Eagles and owls are both large birds of prey that are solitary hunters with keen eyesight, sharp talons and powerful beaks for catching and killing prey. They both build nests in high, remote places, although owls often use existing tree hollows or buildings. While eagles are diurnal (hunt by day) and owls are nocturnal (hunt by night), both are highly skilled predators, relying on their exceptional vision and hearing to succeed in their respective hunts.
