The official name of the island off of Kualoa Beach Park is Mokili'i. It is also widely known by the nickname "Chinaman's Hat" due to its resemblance to the conical straw hats worn by plantation workers, though this name is considered offensive by some. Mokoliʻi is a small offshore island that can be accessed by kayak, canoe, boat, or swimming during low tide. It's right off shore of beloved and highly visited Kualoa Ranch in Kaaawa, Oahu.
