Jesus is called the "Lion of Judah" to signify His royal lineage, strength, and triumphant power as the King of Kings. The title comes from a prophecy by Jacob in Genesis 49, which foretold that a ruler would come from the tribe of Judah, symbolized by a lion. This prophecy is fulfilled in the New Testament book of Revelation, where Jesus is depicted as the Lion who has conquered sin, death, and evil.
